Police are looking for a witness to help with an assault investigation in Leek
Leek: So, there was this serious incident outside a NatWest bank. A woman in her 30s got attacked around 2am, and now the police are on the hunt for a witness.
Apparently, she had some pretty bad head and facial injuries. Before it all went down, she had a chat with a guy outside Go Outdoors on Derby Street. That’s where the police think this witness might come in handy.
They’re looking for a bald white man in his 40s, with a big build. He was wearing a fleece and jeans at the time. If you know him or saw anything, the police really want to hear from you.
A spokesperson from Staffordshire Police mentioned they’ve even released a photo of the guy they want to talk to. They’re still digging into the case, so any info could help.
Oh, and just so you know, a 28-year-old man from Cheadle has been arrested on suspicion of assault. He’s out on conditional bail while they keep investigating.
If you’ve got any tips, you can call 101 and mention incident number 120 from October 19. Or, if you want to stay anonymous, hit up Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.
