A Scottish family’s quest for justice intensifies as new evidence reveals a stalker linked to their mother’s tragic death in Greece
Heraklion: The family of Jean Hanlon, a Scottish mum found dead in Greece, is gearing up for a final push for justice. They believe she was murdered back in 2009 when her body was discovered at Heraklion Harbour in Crete. She was just 53 years old.
Her sons have hired a private detective, Haris Fluskounis, to dig deeper into the case. They’ve always felt something was off and are convinced that her death wasn’t an accident. Recently, they found details in her diary that point to a man who was allegedly stalking her.
Last week, police questioned a 54-year-old man, whose identity remains under wraps. The family is hopeful he’ll be charged soon, and they can finally see some justice for their mum. Haris is determined to help them get the answers they deserve.
He mentioned that no woman should have to face such a tragic end. The man in question seems to have no remorse and has tried to mislead investigators about what really happened.
Jean’s son, Michael, expressed gratitude for the diary, saying it sheds light on a brief relationship that turned sour. After rejecting the man, he became possessive and jealous, leading to troubling behavior.
Michael believes that Jean thought meeting him one last time would help end things, but the man claims that meeting never took place. If he’s telling the truth, why would her diary have records of their meetings?
The Sunday Mail reached out to Greek authorities for comments, but they haven’t responded yet.
