A recent poll reveals significant dissatisfaction among Scots with both the UK (Labour) government and the SNP-led Scottish government.
YouGov did the survey. Two-thirds disapprove of the UK Government’s work, while around 58% aren’t pleased with the Scottish Government. Even some Labour voters are unhappy.
Just 22% approve of the SNP’s performance. Only 12% think Labour is doing well. SNP voters feel differently, though.
Around 56% of SNP voters think their party is doing a good job. But, most Labour, Lib Dem, and Tory voters disapprove of the SNP. Huge numbers, like 72%, 73%, and 92%.
SNP voters mostly disapprove of the UK Government. About 71% feel this way. This affects 75% of Lib Dems and 84% of Scottish Tories too. Really, only 24% of Labour folks view Labour positively.
Almost half disapprove of both governments. Only 6% are happy with both. Some like Holyrood but dislike Westminster; this is about 13%. Then, 5% feel the opposite.
Other polls show Labour’s support has dropped a lot lately. One poll even said Reform was ahead among UK voters. Other polls show a similar dip in Scottish Labour support.
YouGov talked to 1,106 Scots over 16 between January 10th and 14th. The governments were asked to comment on this.
