OpenTable lists Scotland’s top romantic restaurants just in time for Valentine’s Day
Glasgow: Scotland’s top romantic restaurants have been announced. OpenTable just released a list of the Top 100 Romantic Restaurants in the UK for 2025. With Valentine’s Day coming up, it’s the perfect time to book a special dinner.
Many Scots plan to dine out this Valentine’s Day. In fact, nearly half of them are looking for new places to try. Seven Scottish restaurants made it to OpenTable’s top 100 list, giving diners plenty of options.
Glasgow leads with four restaurants on the list. These include Ardnamurchan, Number 16, Ralph and Finns, and The Spanish Butcher. Each offers a unique dining experience for couples.
Ardnamurchan is known for its casual vibe and delicious Scottish meat and seafood. They also have a great selection of wines and cocktails. Number 16, a cozy spot since 1999, features a menu that changes often, focusing on fresh Scottish ingredients.
Ralph and Finns is a family-run restaurant with a stylish atmosphere. They serve classic dishes and creative cocktails. The Spanish Butcher, as the name suggests, specializes in Spanish-inspired meat and seafood dishes.
In Edinburgh, Mamma Roma Ristorante and Kyloe Gourmet Steak Restaurant also made the list. Mamma Roma offers a chic Italian dining experience, while Kyloe focuses on high-quality steak sourced from top farms.
Lastly, Cafe 1 in Inverness rounds out the list. This restaurant emphasizes locally sourced Scottish and European dishes, making it a great choice for a romantic meal.
