A school in Caerphilly was locked down due to safety concerns involving two students, prompting police response and parental notifications.
Caerphilly: On Tuesday morning, St Martin’s Comprehensive School went into lockdown. There were reports about an incident involving two kids, which raised some alarms.
Gwent Police showed up at the school to check things out. They decided to lock it down just to be safe. Parents were informed about the situation through an email.
According to the email, the incident was contained, and thankfully, no one was hurt. The lockdown was lifted later in the afternoon, which was a relief for everyone.
A police spokesperson mentioned they got a call around 10:30 am about safety concerns at the school. They acted quickly, but it seems like everything is okay now.
They’re still looking into whether this was a false alarm or something more serious. The Argus has also reached out to the local council for more details.
