Scartho Eyecare is relocating to a former café, revitalizing a vacant space in the community and enhancing local services.
Grimsby: Exciting news for the local community! Scartho Eyecare is moving to a new spot. They’re shifting from their current location on Waltham Road to a former café on Louth Road, right by the Scartho Fork roundabout.
The practice manager mentioned they’ve outgrown their old place, so this move makes a lot of sense. They’ve got the green light to turn the old Shaneys café into their new opticians. It’s a bit of a makeover, but nothing too drastic.
They’ve made some changes to the original plan, like removing a balcony from the back extension. This means the building won’t get any bigger, which is good for keeping things cozy. Plus, they’re changing the front a bit to add a second doorway for easier access to an upstairs flat.
Inside, the new practice will have three test rooms, which is one less than they initially wanted. But don’t worry, there will still be a tea room, a reception area, and a waiting room. A council officer said it’s great to see a vacant building being put to good use in the local area.
