Tenby Sailing Club’s quiz night was a hit, raising funds for the RNLI and bringing the community together for a fun evening.
Pembrokeshire: The Tenby Sailing Club recently held a quiz night that turned out to be quite the success. It was a fun evening with seven teams joining in to test their knowledge.
Organized by quiz master Terry Evans, the event raised money for the RNLI, which is always a great cause. Everyone had a blast, and it felt good to contribute to something important.
Mark your calendars! The next quiz night is set for Saturday, February 1. It’s a great way to enjoy some friendly competition while supporting a worthy organization.
On another note, the club has introduced a new online members’ area called ‘MyClubhouse.’ This makes it super easy for members to find info about events, renewals, and more.
Members can sign up and log in at tenbysailingclub.myclubhouse.co.uk to renew their membership for 2025 and snag some early bird discounts.
Currently, the club is closed for maintenance but will reopen on January 17. They’re working on the ground floor changing rooms, aiming to have them ready by March for the new sailing season in April.
They’re also keeping an eye on the safety boats and pilot boat, ensuring everything meets RYA standards under Ed Dashfield’s watchful eye.
And if you’re a fan of Sunday lunches, they’ll be back on January 19, so don’t miss out!
Lastly, club member Robin Wood has been busy racing his Supernova at Tata Steel Sailing Club, finishing 8th out of 36 in the autumn frostbite series and 6th out of 14 in the Christmas series. Go, Robin!
