Comedian Russell Brand has been fined after being caught speeding twice in his Mini, facing serious penalties for his actions
Slough: So, Russell Brand just got hit with a hefty fine for speeding. He was caught zooming down the M4 at 95mph, way over the 70mph limit. This happened last June, and it’s not his only speeding issue.
He also got nabbed for driving at 37mph in a 30mph zone near his home in Shiplake back in March. The court heard all about it, but Russell didn’t even show up for the hearing.
He ended up with three penalty points for the slower speed and five for the motorway incident, which brings his total to 11 points. If he hits 12, he could be banned from driving.
The judge slapped him with a fine of £3,457 after his lawyer entered guilty pleas for him. On top of this, he’s also under investigation for some serious allegations made by several women.
This speeding incident happened just two months before a big investigation revealed that four women accused him of sexual assaults from 2006 to 2013. Quite a lot going on for him right now.
In a video he posted just before the allegations came out, Russell claimed the media was out to get him. He’s been trying to keep his career alive online, even though he’s not as big in mainstream media anymore.
His videos often dive into conspiracy theories, and he’s gained a following for his anti-establishment views. He even suggested there was a cover-up around Covid-19 and talked about the Great Reset theory.
Interestingly, he was baptized in the Thames last year, saying he turned to Christianity after facing some tough times. It’s a wild ride for him, that’s for sure!
