Bolton: A video has surfaced showing a chaotic scene on a Jet2 flight to Turkey. A man named Lewis Howarth, 36, had downed half a bottle of whisky and went on a swearing spree against the cabin crew. He was disruptive during the safety briefing and even called one crew member a “d***head” when asked to buckle up.

When police arrived, they found Howarth highly intoxicated and swearing at both crew and fellow passengers. Initially, he seemed to cooperate, but things escalated quickly. As officers tried to escort him off the plane, he resisted and attempted to fight back. It was quite a scene, with passengers cheering as he was dragged off.

The police had to restrain him on the floor, and he continued to shout insults at everyone around him. One officer pointed out that there were kids on the flight, to which Howarth responded defiantly, insisting he was still going on holiday. His behavior was shocking, and he even laughed when told he was being arrested for being drunk on a plane.

Howarth has a history of similar offenses, including being drunk and disorderly and assaulting a police officer. His lawyer claimed he was pressured into drinking due to nerves about flying, but the judge wasn’t having it. He received a 14-week jail sentence, with the judge emphasizing the poor example he set for his children. Howarth admitted to being guilty of entering an aircraft while drunk and assaulting emergency workers. It’s a wild story that serves as a reminder of the consequences of excessive drinking, especially in public places.
