Birmingham: So, Robbie Williams recently had a chat with The Face about that BBC documentary, Boybands Forever. It features him and other boy band stars, like those from Westlife and Five, sharing their real thoughts on fame and its not-so-glamorous side. Robbie, who’s 50 now, felt the documentary was pretty well done and was glad they didn’t make him look bad. But he did think Gary Barlow got a bit of a rough deal.

He pointed out a clip where Gary seemed to be bragging about being a big deal in his village. Robbie was quick to say that Gary was just joking around. He felt the documentary made Gary come off as arrogant, but he knew his mate was just putting on a brave face.

The film also touched on Robbie’s complicated history with Gary and their old manager, Nigel Martin-Smith. Robbie mentioned that Nigel should have been more in tune with his feelings, saying he felt “feral” because of the toxic work vibe. He also shared how he used to feel bitter towards Gary, thinking of him as Nigel’s “cash cow.”

Back in the day, trust was a big issue for both of them, both personally and in their work. Robbie and Nigel haven’t really talked face-to-face about their past disagreements, according to reports. But Robbie did share a message on Instagram, saying he loved Gary for what he did for him, even if he didn’t always like him.

He even asked fans to send some good vibes to his former manager. On a brighter note, Robbie and Gary have patched things up after a heart-to-heart chat.
