A47 will be closed weeknights for resurfacing from Wisbech to King’s Lynn, impacting travel from January 23 to January 28
Wisbech: Heads up, folks! The A47 is going to be closed during the week from January 23 to January 28. This is for some much-needed resurfacing work.
The closures will happen overnight, from 8 PM to 6 AM, so it shouldn’t mess with your weekend plans. Just keep in mind that the road will be closed from the Wisbech roundabout to the Pullover roundabout.
If you’re driving west on the A47, here’s the detour you’ll need to take. You’ll exit at Harwick Roundabout, head south on the A10, then turn right onto the A1122. After that, just follow the A1101 and you’ll be back on the A47 at the Wisbech Roundabout.
A spokesperson from National Highways mentioned that once the work is done, the road will be safer and smoother for everyone. They’re planning to finish this over three nights, weather permitting, so let’s hope for clear skies!
