A popular buffet restaurant in Swansea’s Parc Tawe has closed unexpectedly, leaving customers surprised and looking for alternatives
Swansea: So, guess what? A restaurant called India India, which was a hit at Parc Tawe Retail Park, has suddenly closed its doors. It was known for its buffet-style dining and had quite a following.
There’s a notice on the window saying it shut down as of January 4. The space and everything in it now belong to Centurion, the company that owns the retail park.
Centurion has really turned things around at Parc Tawe. It used to be half empty, but now it’s buzzing with new places like Ninja Warrior UK and Aldi. It’s pretty impressive!
And there’s more good news on the way. A national food chain is planning to open a drive-thru at Parc Tawe soon. They’re also working on revamping The Quadrant Shopping Centre.
Adam Gibbons, the estates manager at Centurion, mentioned that they’ve already had interest from other operators wanting to take over the now-empty India India spot.
He said, “While India India was a great addition, its closure opens up a chance for a new food place. Parc Tawe is in a lively part of Swansea, perfect for businesses looking to attract customers.”
During the holiday season, they saw a huge increase in visitors, with over 125,000 cars parking there. It’s clear that this area is thriving!
Gibbons is optimistic about finding a new operator for the space and is excited about what’s next for the park. It sounds like there are some exciting times ahead!
