Eryri: So, there were these two walkers who got stuck while trying to descend Tryfan. It happened on Friday, and they really needed some help.

The Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Team jumped in with ten members for a six-hour rescue mission. They managed to bring the walkers back to safety, which is a relief.

The rescue team shared that the trouble started on the West Face of Tryfan, specifically in the Wrinkle Slab area. The walkers lost their way while coming down the North Ridge and ended up on some steep ground.

They called for help when they realized they couldn’t go any further. Luckily, a spotter saw them from the road and guided a team to their location. Another group brought in rope rescue gear.

In the end, they were safely lifted to a better spot and walked back down to the north ridge path. It’s great to see everyone working together like that!

There was also a report from Llanfairfechan about someone on the mountain, but it was unclear if it was a person or an animal. They were spotted on steep ground but no further action was needed.

Earlier in the week, the rescue team got a call about a family member who had gotten separated while walking around Llyn Idwal. Thankfully, they reunited before any action was needed.
