Cardiff seeks to sign Regan Grace on loan to address their injury crisis in the squad
Cardiff: So, it looks like Cardiff is eyeing Regan Grace to help with their injury troubles. They really need some fresh legs on the wing.
Matt Sherratt, the coach, is hoping to snag a short-term loan soon. Grace, who’s currently with Bath, is on their radar. He’s had a rough time with injuries, so this could be a good fit.
He’s only played a couple of games this season after dealing with a hamstring surgery. Cardiff’s wing options are pretty thin right now, with several players sidelined.
Only a few wingers are fit to play, and one of them, Tom Bowen, is pretty new to the senior squad. Sherratt mentioned they’re looking to bring someone in quickly, but it might take a week or so.
Grace could be a solid choice. Cardiff already borrowed another young player from Bath recently, so it seems like a good move.
There aren’t many other options out there, either. Aled Summerhill left the team last season, and there’s been no talk of bringing him back. Sherratt even joked about Alex Cuthbert, but that’s probably not happening.
One player, Dewi Cross, has been doing well in the lower leagues, but he’s also been injured lately. Plus, there are some rules about signing players for European competitions that could complicate things.
For Grace, this could be a great chance to show what he can do, especially with the Six Nations coming up. He’s had a tough time in England with injuries, but he’s eager to make an impact.
He did get to play a bit last season after recovering from an Achilles injury, and he even impressed the Welsh coaches in a friendly match. Let’s see how this all plays out!
