Police are investigating break-ins at two Spar shops and a filling station in Newquay, Cornwall, with suspects stealing cigarettes and alcohol.
Newquay: Recently, two Spar shops and a filling station were hit by burglars in Cornwall. The police are on the case after a couple of break-ins and one attempted break-in in the area.
It all kicked off early Sunday morning when officers got a call about a burglary at the Spar in Quintrell Downs. Two guys broke in and made off with some cigarettes.
Then, on Saturday night, there was an attempted break-in at the Spar on Tower Road, but thankfully, they didn’t get in and nothing was taken.
Things got a bit more serious today when the police were called around 5 am about a burglary at the Westways Filling Station near Newquay. The suspects broke in and stole cigarettes, tobacco, and alcohol before making a run for it.
A police spokesperson mentioned they’re looking into whether these incidents are connected. They’re asking anyone who saw anything or has info to give them a shout at 101 or check out their website.
