The Polish military is in hot water after 240 anti-tank mines went missing, later turning up in an IKEA warehouse, leading to a high-profile firing.
The whole thing kicked off when military officials realized five pallets of these mines vanished after a train trip. They were moving a bunch of equipment from Hainoufka, near the Belarusian border, to Mosty on the Baltic coast.
Now, the head of the support inspectorate, Artur Kengwczynski, got the boot because of this mess. It all happened last July, but it’s just coming to light now.
The mines were found in Orla, a city close to where they were supposed to be. Apparently, they might have taken a little detour across the country on trains.
Four soldiers are under investigation for not doing their jobs right and could face some serious time—up to five years in prison.
And if you think that’s wild, there’s more! A former TV host claims she encountered a demon in an IKEA last year. Talk about strange things happening in furniture stores!
