Gwent Police took action against two vehicles drifting dangerously in snowy Newport, ensuring road safety during harsh weather conditions
Newport: So, over the weekend, things got a bit wild in Newport. The snow was coming down hard, making the roads pretty treacherous. And guess what? Two cars decided to show off by drifting around like it was a scene from a movie.
Gwent Police were on it, though. They swooped in and seized those vehicles right away. It all went down on Saturday evening in Spytty. The officers from the Operations and Support team weren’t having any of that reckless behavior.
Under the Police Reform Act, they can take action against drivers who are being a nuisance. If you’re caught driving like a maniac, you get a warning for a year. But if you mess up again, they’ll take your car. Simple as that.
Gwent Police made it clear on social media that they won’t tolerate dangerous driving. With the icy roads, it’s just not worth the risk. Stay safe out there, folks!
