Authorities are investigating a serious assault in Castle Douglas, with three men arrested and an appeal for witnesses ongoing
Castle Douglas: Police are looking for help after a serious assault in the town. They were called to Wallace Court late on Thursday night, January 2, 2025.
A 38-year-old man was taken to the Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary with serious injuries. Thankfully, he’s getting the treatment he needs.
Three men, aged 29, 39, and 49, have been arrested, and the investigation is still ongoing. Detective Inspector Scott Wilson is urging anyone who might have seen something to reach out.
