South Belfast: So, there was this burglary that happened early this morning. The police are on the lookout for the guy who broke in.

It all went down around 3 AM in the Marlborough Park South area. A resident woke up and caught the burglar in the act. Talk about a scary wake-up call!

From what the police have said, a few small items went missing, but thankfully, no one got hurt. That’s the most important part, right?

The police described the suspect as a man in his 50s, wearing a black puffer jacket and about 5 feet 5 inches tall. He might have been riding a mountain bike, which is a bit odd.

They’re asking anyone who saw anything strange or has doorbell or CCTV footage to reach out. If you have any info, call them at 101 and mention reference number 100 of 06/01/25.

You can also report online or contact Crimestoppers if you want to stay anonymous. Just a little reminder to keep an eye out, folks!
