Birmingham: Police are back at it, asking for help after a cyclist named Donnell sadly lost his life in a crash. This happened when a silver BMW hit him and then took off. It was around 9:25 PM on January 3, on Brandwood Park Road in Kings Heath.

Donnell was just 25 years old and had a little three-year-old son. He was rushed to the hospital but sadly passed away three days later on January 6. His family and friends are heartbroken over this loss.

The police have arrested a 30-year-old man in connection with the incident, but he’s been released on bail while they continue their investigation. They’re really hoping someone out there has information or dash cam footage that could help, so they’re asking people to reach out and quote log 4855 from January 3.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to help cover Donnell’s funeral costs, aiming for £8,000. His friend Chloe Finlay shared that this was for her friend who lost her brother. She wrote about how Donnell was the happiest and kindest man, loved by so many.

He was just coming home from work when the accident happened, and despite fighting hard, he suffered terrible injuries. His family is left with heavy hearts, especially his mom, dad, siblings, girlfriend, and that little boy who meant the world to him.

Chloe thanked everyone for their kind messages and support during this tough time. She hopes the donations will help with the funeral and support his son. Donnell will always be remembered as a bright star, and his legacy will live on through his child.
