Gwent Police have shared a photo of Dale Mason, jailed for three years for assaulting his ex-girlfriend despite a restraining order
Caerphilly: So, Gwent Police just released a photo of this guy, Dale Mason. He’s been sentenced to three years for some pretty awful stuff he did to his ex-girlfriend.
Back in July, he broke into her home, even though he had a five-year restraining order against him. Can you believe that? He hit her in the face and even threatened her with a baseball bat. It’s just shocking.
The court heard how scared she was. She ran to her mom’s place and called the cops. When they found Mason, he was lying in her bed with the bat. What a creep!
While he was in jail, he didn’t stop. He kept harassing her, getting his cellmates to send her letters and even called her about 90 times, pretending to be someone else. It’s like he just can’t take a hint.
The judge, David Wynn Morgan, really laid it out for him, saying, “only cowards hit women.” Mason has a history of violence against her, with multiple convictions. It’s just sad to see someone like that not taking responsibility for their actions.
In the end, the judge reminded him that blaming alcohol won’t cut it. It’s time for him to face the music and realize how cowardly his actions really are.
