Staffordshire: A teenage girl was attacked on New Year’s Day, and now police are on the hunt for the rapist. The 16-year-old was walking in Market Place, Burton, when two men pulled her into an alleyway. One of them assaulted her.
This happened just after midnight, around 12:50 am. Detective Inspector Shelley Burns is leading the investigation and reassured the community that they’re working hard to support the victim and gather more information.
She mentioned that several people helped the girl right after the attack. They’re eager to talk to anyone who was in The Royal Oak pub that night, hoping to piece together more details.
As for the suspects, one had a distinct comb-over hairstyle with shaved sides and facial hair. The other was spotted wearing glasses, a black beanie, a red hoodie, and had a moustache.
