Newport: So, here’s the scoop. Two guys, Corey Gibbons and Jonathan Tovey, got pulled over by the police because they were giving off a strong cannabis smell from their car. Turns out, they were up to no good.

When the police searched their Vauxhall Corsa, they found not just some cannabis but also a stash of cocaine and crack cocaine. Gibbons had 16 grams of cocaine hidden away, and Tovey had 6 grams of crack and 15 grams of cocaine, plus over a grand in cash. Yikes!

After the initial bust, the police decided to check out their homes. Gibbons had a nice pile of cash, designer clothes, and even some empty packaging that had traces of cocaine. Tovey’s place had all sorts of drug paraphernalia, like scales and a saucepan with crack residue. Not exactly subtle, right?

During the court hearing, it came out that Gibbons was bragging about his drug money, saying it funded a trip to Turkey for veneers. He even claimed, “cocaine is power.” Talk about a wild attitude!

Both guys pleaded guilty to serious charges, and the judge handed them each a 28-month sentence. They’ll do half in jail and then be on license for the rest. Hopefully, they learn from this and turn their lives around.
