Authorities are searching for Ian McAlpine, a 49-year-old man missing from Springburn for five days
Glasgow: Police are really worried about a man from Springburn who’s been missing for five days now. They’re looking for Ian McAlpine, who’s 49 years old.
Ian was last spotted on January 7 around 9 PM in the Balornock Road area. The thing is, he doesn’t have any money or a phone with him, which makes it even more concerning.
He’s described as a white Scottish guy, about 5 feet 6 inches tall, with a thin build and short grey/white hair. When he was last seen, he was wearing a black North Face puffer jacket, black tracksuit bottoms, and black trainers.
Police say Ian often hangs out in Glasgow City Centre, especially near Central Station. They’ve been working with city centre officers and checking CCTV footage, but so far, no luck in finding him.
Sergeant Jibran Yousaf from Maryhill Police Station mentioned that they’re really worried since Ian hasn’t been seen for so long. If anyone has seen him or knows anything, they should definitely reach out to the police.
Anyone with information can call 101 and should mention incident number 3355 from January 7, 2025. It’s important to help bring Ian home safely.
