Plymouth: If you’re driving around Plymouth this week, be prepared for some roadworks that might slow you down. There are several areas where work is happening, and it’s good to know what to expect.

For instance, Beaumont Road will have two-way signals in place from January 6 to February 28, so keep an eye out for those. Over on Basket Ope, the road will be closed for gas main works until February 17.

Blandford Road will also see some action with two-way signals from January 6 to January 8, mainly for bus shelter works. If you’re in the Carradale Road area, expect a full closure until April 14 due to gas main work.

Citadel Ope is another spot to avoid, as it will be closed for gas main works until February 17. Clarence Place will have three-way signals from January 6 to January 10, so plan accordingly.

If you’re heading to Connaught Lane, it will be closed until January 22, but residents can still access their homes.

Derriford Roundabout will have one lane closed for telecoms work on January 6 and 7, so be ready for some delays there.

Dolphin Court Road will be closed on January 6 for patching work, and Exchange Street will be closed for gas main works until February 17.

There’s a lot going on, so it’s best to check your route before heading out. Stay safe and drive carefully!
