A pensioner was shocked to receive a rude letter about her upside-down Union Flag, sparking outrage in her community over the disrespectful note.
She usually flies the Union Flag and the Yorkshire flag to show her support for the military. But this time, someone decided to send her a rude note, claiming to be ex-military, saying it was “highly disrespectful.”
The letter said she needed to fix it right away. Susan was pretty annoyed. She thought, “Why not just knock on my door instead of being a coward?”
Her son came over and flipped the flag back the right way. Susan joked about the note writer, saying it was a shame they didn’t help her out.
She shared her thoughts, saying, “If you’re going to complain, at least have the guts to sign your name.”
Her neighbor, Su, was furious about the letter and posted it on Facebook. She defended Susan, saying she’s a great neighbor who respects the military.
Many people chimed in online, calling the note “pompous” and saying that just flying the flag shows respect. One person even pointed out how silly it is to focus on an upside-down flag when there are bigger issues in the world.
