In Pembrokeshire, festive pups and their owners raised over £1,000 for local animal charities during a joyful holiday event
Cotton’s Creche, a doggy daycare in Bethesda, hosted its annual Santa Paws event. Annie Thomas, who runs the place, said it was a huge success. They managed to collect £1,037 for charity, which is just fantastic!
The dogs showed up in their festive jumpers, ready to have a blast. Each charity, Greenacres Rescue and The Border Collie Rescue, will get £518.50 to help them keep doing their great work.
Annie described the day as magical, filled with fun for everyone. The Santa Paws Grotto was a hit, where dogs met Santa and shared their Christmas wishes. There were even some adorable photos taken!
The fancy dress competition was a highlight too, with pups dressed as everything from elves to The Grinch. And let’s not forget the tasty treats! The dogs enjoyed a special cake, while their humans sipped mulled wine and munched on festive goodies.
Local crafters set up market stalls, and there were dog training tips to boot. Annie thanked her team and everyone who donated raffle prizes. The excitement was palpable!
It was heartwarming to see so many familiar faces and meet new furry friends. Events like Santa Paws really bring the community together, celebrating the season and supporting causes close to our hearts.
