The Neyland Badminton Group is moving to a new venue to welcome more players and enhance their experience
Neyland: The Pembrokeshire badminton group is on the move! They’re relocating to a new spot that promises to be a lot better for everyone.
They’re shifting to the Neyland Community Hub, which should help them bring in more players. The old place at St Clements Church Hall was just too cramped for some folks.
With a low roof and not much space around the court, it was tough for the more athletic players to really enjoy the game. The new venue will have a second court and plenty of room for everyone.
A spokesperson mentioned that while they loved playing at St Clements, they had to think about how to grow the group. They want to attract more players, and this move is a big step in that direction.
The group is a mix of abilities, mostly made up of mature players who just want to have fun rather than compete. They meet every Tuesday from 11am to 1pm, and there’s even a break for snacks and chatting.
Newcomers can try their first session for free, and after that, it’s just £5 for two hours or £2.50 for one hour. Plus, they have spare rackets for anyone who doesn’t have their own.
They’re all about having a good time while getting some exercise. The social aspect is just as important as improving their skills. So, if you’re interested in badminton, they’d love for you to join, no matter your skill level!
