They emphasized that this kind of parking isn’t just annoying; it can block emergency vehicles like ambulances and fire trucks. So, if you were planning to head to Winnats Pass, you’d better find another spot and park properly.
Derbyshire County Council also chimed in, mentioning that there were hundreds of double-parked cars along other roads like Rushup Edge and Man Nick. They said their gritters couldn’t get through because of all the parked cars, which is a big problem.
They urged everyone to move their cars to proper parking areas. They get that people want to enjoy the Peak District, but this kind of parking is making it tough for emergency services and even buses to get around.
