Whitefield: A man named Anthony Green, 59, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for the horrific sexual abuse of three young children. He was a landscape gardener who took advantage of his victims and then tried to silence them with money.

Years later, the victims found the courage to report what happened when they were under 13. After each attack, Green would give them small amounts of cash to keep them quiet. It’s just sickening.

During the court hearing, it was revealed that Green had assaulted one girl by offering her coins to undress and then sexually touching her. She described the experience as “disgusting and horrible.”

Another victim shared how he pinned her down while they were play fighting before he assaulted her. Afterward, he gave her money to spend, which is just beyond belief.

His third victim was assaulted twice, and when she told him he was hurting her, he stopped and handed her £7, telling her to say it was for gardening work. It’s heartbreaking to think of the impact this had on their lives.

Green had a couple of old convictions, but nothing like this. The judge made it clear that his actions were deliberate and for his own gratification. He even praised the victims for their bravery in coming forward.

Now, Green has to register as a sex offender for life. He pleaded not guilty to some charges but was found guilty by a jury. It’s a tough reminder of how important it is for victims to speak out.
