Caerphilly: People are really upset after two dogs were found abandoned on a freezing mountainside. They were in terrible shape, and it’s just heartbreaking.

The dogs were discovered on Bedwas mountain after someone saw a driver leave them there. A group of kind-hearted folks spent over two hours trying to catch the scared pups before they finally got them to safety.

One rescuer, Ryan, said the dogs were super scared, underweight, and had matted fur. He was nearby with his own dogs when he heard about the situation.

Ryan and the others managed to corner the dogs and slowly gained their trust. It was tough because the weather was icy and it started snowing. But they didn’t give up, and eventually, they got the dogs into Ryan’s car and took them to Hope Rescue.

At the rescue center, the staff said the dogs need a lot of grooming and care, but they’re hopeful they’ll recover. They named the black dog Lois and the tan one Clark. They’re really sweet, even though they’re scared.

Lois is about four years old, and Clark is around three. The staff mentioned that they’ve formed a strong bond and will likely need to be adopted together.

It’s sad to hear that this is the second case of abandoned dogs in just a few days. The rescue center is urging pet owners in tough situations to reach out for help instead of abandoning their pets.

They’re also looking for information on how the dogs ended up on the mountain. If anyone knows anything, they’re encouraged to contact Hope Rescue UK.
