A Nottingham primary school teacher has been banned for misconduct after trying to send himself an intimate video of a colleague
Nottingham: So, there’s this wild story about a primary school teacher named Brendon Fallows. He’s 37 and used to teach math at Lady Bay Primary School. But he got himself into some serious trouble recently.
On October 5, 2023, while a colleague was teaching, he broke into her phone. Can you believe that? He actually guessed her password by checking her Instagram to find out her birthday. Then, he tried to send himself an intimate video of her!
When she checked her phone later, she saw a WhatsApp message sent to an unknown number. At first, she thought it was a mistake, but then she noticed the thumbnail showed something she definitely didn’t want anyone to see. She quickly deleted it before it could send.
She reported it the next day, feeling shocked and violated. Fallows claimed he was just curious and didn’t mean any harm, but the panel didn’t buy it. They said he acted impulsively and violated her trust.
Now, he’s banned from teaching indefinitely. The panel emphasized how important it is for teachers to be role models and maintain trust in the profession. They also noted that his actions could harm public confidence in teachers.
The head teacher of Lady Bay Primary, Steve Border, said they took immediate action when the incident happened. Fallows hasn’t been on school grounds since and left his job in December 2023. The school made sure to support everyone affected and minimize disruption for the kids.
