This new crossing is a big deal, being the first one built over the river in more than 60 years. But sadly, Flo Skatepark will be demolished as part of the city council’s plans. Staff members are feeling the loss, calling it the “end of an era.” They’re already on the hunt for a new temporary space in Nottingham, hoping to find something by September.

Funding for the new bridge is coming from the Department for Transport, with costs rising to at least £12 million due to inflation.
