Nottingham: So, there’s been some heavy rain in Nottingham, and it’s caused quite a stir. The Queens Park and Ride site has been closed because of flooding risks. It’s a bit of a mess out there.

Nottingham City Transport (NCT) announced that the site would be shut down today. They mentioned that the city council gave them the heads-up about the flooding risk. If you need to get to the city center, don’t worry! You can still catch a ride from the Racecourse instead.

Right now, there are 25 flood warnings and alerts across Nottinghamshire. That means flooding is either expected or possible. The Met Office even issued a yellow weather warning, so it’s been pretty wild with the rain.

Queens Drive Park and Ride is right by the River Trent, not far from the Riverside Retail Park. It’s usually a busy spot, with buses running to the city and hospitals. But today, it’s a no-go.

CT4N, which runs the Medilink service, confirmed that the Medilink 2 route is also closed due to the flooding risk. Thankfully, Medilink 1 is still running fine.

Just a heads-up, the roads are looking pretty rough this morning. There’s a lot of standing water, and with the chilly temperatures, drivers are advised to take it slow.
