A notorious shoplifter in Coventry faces a ban from a specific area after serving time in jail for multiple thefts
Coventry: So, there’s this guy, Jason Howard, who’s been causing quite a stir in the Midlands. He’s a notorious shoplifter, and he just got out of prison after a three-month sentence. Can you believe it? He was on a one-man crime spree in Radford, hitting up local stores left and right.
He admitted to stealing from shops around Jubilee Crescent nine times between November and January. That’s a lot of trouble for one guy! The court didn’t take it lightly, and now he’s got a Criminal Behaviour Order hanging over him.
Once he’s out, he’s banned from the Jubilee Crescent area. The local police and community teams worked hard to make sure this ban happened. They’re really trying to keep the neighborhood safe.
West Midlands Police made it clear that if he breaks this order, he could end up back in jail. They’re also making sure he gets some support services to help him stay out of trouble. Shoplifting is a real pain for business owners, and the police are determined to tackle it.
They’ve got more power now to deal with people who don’t follow these orders, which is a good thing for the community. Let’s hope this guy gets the help he needs and doesn’t go back to his old ways!
