A North London man was sentenced for possessing a stun gun and dealing drugs worth £59,000 in Essex
North London: So, there’s this guy, Richie Nkundo, who got himself into a heap of trouble. He was caught with a stun gun and a stash of drugs worth a whopping £4,000 in Essex. Not the best choice, right?
Richie was running a drug line called ‘CJ’ and was flooding the area with hard drugs from September to December last year. The Essex police did a raid on his place and found the stun gun just sitting on the kitchen counter. They even found cartridges in the bedroom. Talk about careless!
His phone records showed he sold 594 grams of Class A drugs, raking in around £59,000. With a history of drug offenses, he admitted to having a prohibited weapon and dealing drugs. Not a good look for him.
Last Friday, he was sentenced to three years and 10 months in Chelmsford Crown Court. Detective Inspector Richard Trower mentioned that they’ve been cracking down on drug dealers and have taken down over 150 county lines in Essex this year alone.
He pointed out that when they search these dealers’ homes, they often find all sorts of weapons, which is pretty scary. A stun gun can really hurt someone, especially if it falls into the wrong hands.
Richie was working solo, which is a bit unusual, but his past shows he was serious about dealing drugs. Now, he’s got a lot of time to think about his choices behind bars.
