The 40-year-old comedian decided to hit pause on her surgery plans. She was super excited about hosting the 82nd annual ceremony, which honors the best in TV and film.
During an appearance on CBS Mornings, she shared that she had been considering a brow lift or something similar for January 2025. But when her agents called with the hosting news, they asked if she could delay her surgery. She realized she had to choose between the two, and hosting won out.
Nikki was announced as the host back in August, and she couldn’t be happier. She said it’s one of her favorite nights of television, and now she gets to be right in the middle of it all.
Last year’s host, comedian Joy Koy, had a bit of a rough time with his performance. He made some awkward jokes, including one about Taylor Swift that didn’t go over well. Swift’s reaction was pretty telling, and Koy later admitted he regretted that joke.
