Hull City Council reveals plans for the next phase of footpath upgrades starting January 6, enhancing local infrastructure and accessibility.
Hull: So, guess what? Hull City Council is kicking off the next phase of footpath improvements on January 6. They’re focusing on the northern footpath of River Grove and a few other streets.
Wright Civil Engineering is on the job, and they’ll be working on Lulworth Avenue and Lymington Garth too. After that, they’ll move on to Newington Avenue and Boothferry Road. Sounds like a busy schedule!
This comes after they wrapped up the first phase ahead of time, which is pretty impressive. They managed to finish up the southern footpath of River Grove and a couple of other spots a week early.
Now, while they’re working on Boothferry Road, some parking bays will be out of action. But don’t worry, the bus service will still be running. Just a heads up, though—traffic might slow down a bit.
Here’s the timeline for the upcoming work: River Grove’s northern footpath will be done by January 30, Lulworth Avenue by January 14, and Lymington Garth by January 24. Newington Avenue will follow, wrapping up by February 7, and Boothferry Road will be finished by February 21.
Cllr Mark Ieronimo, who’s in charge of transportation, is pretty pleased with how things are going. He thanked Wright Civil Engineering for their speedy work and asked residents to hang in there while the next phase gets done.
