Newport: Yodel has stepped up big time this Christmas. They delivered 2,000 boxes of toys to Kids in Mind, a charity that helps children in need.

Each box is packed with up to 10 toys, thanks to Hasbro teaming up with the charity. This is all about bringing some holiday cheer to kids who really need it.

The toys are going to mothers who’ve had to escape domestic abuse. It’s a tough situation, and these gifts aim to brighten their kids’ Christmas Day.

Yodel’s delivery drivers picked up the boxes from the Newport Hasbro depot and took them to women’s refuges all over the UK. It’s a heartwarming effort.

Sam Holden, Yodel’s CCO, expressed pride in working with Hasbro and Kids in Mind. He highlighted how important it is to bring some Christmas magic to these children.

He mentioned that every year, around 20,000 kids leave home due to domestic abuse, often with just the clothes on their backs. They arrive at refuges with nothing.

These kids usually spend over six months in a refuge before moving to a new area. This initiative really shows how collaboration can make a difference.

Julian Margolin, CEO of Kids in Mind, also shared his gratitude. He thanked everyone involved for their donations and support in getting these toys out to kids across the UK.

He hopes that these gifts can bring a little joy to children on Christmas Day, making a tough time just a bit brighter.
