A beloved cafe in Newcastle known for its breathtaking views will remain open longer due to popular demand from locals and visitors alike
Newcastle: A popular cafe in the heart of the city is sticking around a bit longer! Barbour Tea & Toasties, which has some of the best views, is extending its run until the end of March.
This cozy spot opened last October thanks to a partnership between Fenwick Newcastle and Barbour. It’s been a hit, especially during the festive season, with its lovely decor and tasty treats.
Originally set to close at the end of the year, the cafe’s popularity has led to this extension. They serve a quirky menu featuring local favorites like the Tyne & Moor Melt and Howay the Ham.
Leo Fenwick from Fenwick shared how thrilled they are with the response. He mentioned that they’re always looking for ways to enhance the customer experience, and this cafe has been a delightful addition.
Barbour’s Paul Wilkinson also expressed excitement about the partnership and the plans for 2025, hinting at new collections and collaborations that will keep customers coming back for more.
Both Fenwick and Barbour have deep roots in the North East, with a combined history of over 270 years. It’s great to see these iconic brands working together to create something special for the community.
