Newcastle: Exciting news! Newcastle Airport is launching flights to Budapest for winter 2025/26.

Jet2 is starting a new route between Newcastle and Budapest. This is due to strong demand from holidaymakers in the UK. They will offer flights twice a week to the Hungarian capital.

Flights will run on Thursdays and Sundays from October 9, 2025, to April 26, 2026. If you book with Jet2holidays, you can choose from various hotels in the city center.

Budapest is a cultural gem. You can visit Buda Castle and Fisherman’s Bastion. There are also relaxing thermal baths. When the sun sets, the nightlife is vibrant, with clubs, ruin bars, and rooftop terraces.

Richard Knight, Newcastle Airport’s COO, shared that Budapest is a top-requested destination. He believes this new route will be popular with travelers and local agents.

Jet2 is expanding its city break options from Newcastle. They are celebrating their 20th anniversary flying from the airport. This new route is a great addition for North East travelers.

Jet2 aims to build on the success of their Christmas Markets trips. They will operate flights to 54 destinations from Newcastle, with 22 available during winter 2025/26.
