A new minibus has been donated to Pembrokeshire Mencap to enhance transport for clients accessing essential services.
Pembrokeshire: A brand new minibus has been donated to Pembrokeshire Mencap, and it’s a big deal! This ride was bought thanks to a generous donation from South Hook LNG Terminal.
This minibus is super important because it helps students from all over the county get to Stackpole Walled Gardens, where they can access essential services.
It’s going to be a safe way to transport adults and young folks with learning disabilities who are doing work experience and learning about gardening at the beautiful Stackpole estate.
Hamad Al Samra, the general manager at South Hook LNG, shared how they’ve been supporting Pembrokeshire Mencap for a long time. He really admires the amazing work they do for people with learning disabilities and their families.
He mentioned that having this new minibus means they can keep providing reliable transport for everyone involved. It’s great to see local businesses stepping up to help out!
Before this, Pembrokeshire Mencap’s old minibus was really struggling with maintenance issues and spent a lot of time off the road.
Tony Marmara, who chairs the trustees at Pembrokeshire Mencap, said this new bus opens up more chances for clients to enjoy learning and fun experiences. It’s a win-win for everyone!
