A community group has been formed to breathe new life into Haverfordwest’s town centre, inviting all to join in.
Haverfordwest: A fresh community action group has just kicked off in Pembrokeshire. This new forum is all about giving Haverfordwest town centre a much-needed boost. They’re having their first meeting on January 15, so mark your calendars!
Supported by Haverhub, the initiative is calling on residents, businesses, and local organizations to come together. Gitti Coats, the founder of Haverhub, is super excited about it. She said they want to harness the energy and know-how of everyone involved to create a brighter future for the town.
Gitti also mentioned that everyone is welcome to pitch in and share their ideas on what needs to be tackled next. The group has some key priorities, like organizing town-wide events, dealing with empty properties, and showcasing what makes Haverfordwest special.
Councillor Thomas Tudor, who represents the Castle Ward, is all in on this initiative. He believes it’s a fantastic way to boost collaboration among all the different players in the town and is optimistic about the positive changes it could bring.
They’re also looking to improve how regeneration efforts are coordinated across Haverfordwest. Phillip Evitt, from Haverfordwest Heritage, shared that this forum will help with their historic building renovations by connecting them with businesses and groups seeking workspace.
The meetings are open to everyone—individuals, groups, organizations, and businesses from any sector. If you’re interested in getting involved or want to join the meeting, just shoot an email to action@haverfordwest.org.uk.
