Cardiff: NatWest is stepping up in Wales this holiday season. They’re giving customers a chance to buy a Christmas dinner for someone who’s homeless.

Through their MyRewards program, customers can donate rewards over £5 to help provide a meal. They’ve teamed up with Social Bite for this initiative.

What’s even cooler? NatWest will match donations to any of their 16 MyRewards charities, including Social Bite, up to £50 until the end of December. They’re aiming to raise a total of £150,000.

This effort is part of Social Bite’s ‘Festival of Kindness’. Their goal is to provide 300,000 meals, gifts, and essentials to those in need during the festive season.

Jessica Shipman, who chairs the NatWest Cymru Regional Board, shared how important this initiative is. She said it highlights the struggles many face daily, especially during the holidays.

She’s excited about supporting Social Bite and encourages everyone to join in. It’s a great way to make the season a bit brighter for those who need it most.

Since starting the Festival of Kindness in 2020, Social Bite has already provided over 1.1 million meals and essentials to people experiencing homelessness.

Josh Littlejohn, the founder of Social Bite, expressed gratitude for NatWest’s ongoing support. He thanked all the customers who chose to donate their rewards to help others.
