A shocking video shows a car in Co Mayo driving against traffic, narrowly avoiding collisions
Co Mayo: You won’t believe what happened on the N17! A driver was caught on video swerving into oncoming traffic. It’s a wild two-minute clip that has everyone talking.
The footage shows a red car zigzagging all over the road on January 4, 2025. It starts off by crossing the white lines at a junction, heading straight into the wrong lane.
As the car barrels down the road, a yellow lorry comes into view, flashing its lights. Thankfully, the driver swerves back just in time to avoid a nasty crash.
For about a minute, the red car stays in its lane, but then it suddenly veers right again, almost colliding with oncoming traffic. It’s a real nail-biter!
The driver then pulls left, nearly grazing the verge, before swerving back and finally stopping in the middle of the road. After that, they drive off, but not for long—reports say they were arrested later.
