The mother of a missing man in the Highlands is urging the public to assist in locating her son, who has been missing for nearly a month.
Aviemore: A mother is desperately seeking help to find her son, Marc Drostle, who has been missing for almost a month. He disappeared after traveling from London to the Highlands on December 12.
Marc, 28, was last seen in a woodland area on Christmas Eve. Despite police searches and some reported sightings, he hasn’t been found yet. His family is really worried about him.
They’re especially concerned about his safety given the cold weather. Marc’s family shared that he’s been feeling down lately, which makes them fear he might not be able to take care of himself.
They hope he’s found shelter somewhere, maybe in a barn or an outbuilding, to stay warm and dry. Marc is described as a kind and gentle person, a talented artist who loves nature.
He has fond memories of Scotland from family trips when he was younger. His adventurous spirit means he can walk long distances, but they’re unsure how he’s been managing food over the past weeks.
His mum expressed her heartbreak, saying she can’t stand the thought of him being cold and alone. She’s grateful for the support from locals and the police, who are working hard to find him.
Police believe Marc might have been heading towards the Moray area along the River Spey. He’s about 5ft 9in tall, slim, with dark hair, and was last seen wearing a black puffer jacket and carrying a blue rucksack.
Inspector Craig Johnstone from Police Scotland mentioned that they’ve conducted extensive searches but haven’t located him yet. They’re asking anyone who might have seen him or knows anything to reach out.
They also encourage residents to check their properties for any signs of Marc. If anyone has information, they should call Police Scotland and reference the case.
