Kelyan Bokassa’s mother shares her heartbreak over her son’s murder in London
Woolwich: Kelyan Bokassa’s mum is heartbroken after her 14-year-old son was stabbed on a bus in London. It’s just so tragic.
The poor kid was killed right in front of people on the 472 bus. It happened just before 2:30 PM on Tuesday, and now the police are searching for the attacker.
Mary Bokassa, Kelyan’s mum, described him as a kind and caring boy. She’s really upset and pointed fingers at gangs for taking advantage of him. She said he was polite and had a great sense of humor.
Kelyan loved football and was an Arsenal supporter. Mary mentioned that gangs had groomed him, which is just heartbreaking. She felt like he was being pushed toward a bad path.
He had dreams of becoming a chef, inspired by Jamie Oliver. Mary recalled how proud he was on his first day back at school, wearing his uniform. He was full of life and happiness.
Sadly, Kelyan was scared to go out because of gang threats. He even lived on the streets for a year after running away from a children’s home. That’s just so tough for a kid.
Mary shared that they had faced some tough times, including an arson attack on their flat when Kelyan was young. They had to move around a lot, and it wasn’t easy for them.
She mentioned that Kelyan had some legal troubles, but they were working on it. Losing him like this is just unimaginable for her.
A family friend said Kelyan was a talented footballer but got caught up with gangs. Mary is devastated, and it’s clear that something needs to change to keep kids safe.
He was trying to turn his life around and was doing well in school. Kelyan attended St Columba’s Catholic Boys School, and the school expressed their sadness over his loss.
The police are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward. It’s a tough time for everyone involved, and we all hope for justice.
