Pembrokeshire: A mum is about to make her dream come true by opening a café. Hatice Eltan is launching Turkish Kitchen in Haverfordwest on February 1 at 10am.
This café will serve up delicious Turkish dishes every day from 9am to 3pm. Hatice moved to Pembrokeshire with her kids five years ago, and now she’s ready to share her love for cooking.
She’s super excited about this venture. Hatice has always wanted to run her own café. Before this, she worked at a nursery but decided to focus on her dream instead.
Having lived in Pembrokeshire for a while, she feels the area needs more traditional food options. Coming from London, she’s used to a variety of cuisines and wants to bring that flavor to her new home.
Hatice mentioned that many locals enjoy Turkish food, especially those who visit Turkey on holiday. Plus, there’s a Turkish community in Pembrokeshire that’s been craving something like this.
At the launch, there will be food tastings, so everyone can try out dishes like gözleme, baklava, and Turkish delight. Hatice will be working with her brother-in-law, Mustafa, to make it all happen.
They’re even holding a raffle where someone could win a free meal for two! If all goes well, Hatice has plans to expand the café into a restaurant in the future.
She’s got the necessary licenses to stay open until 3am, which could be a fun addition later on. Hatice and her family fell in love with Pembrokeshire during a weekend trip and decided to make it their home.
Her kids, Deniz and Eliza, have adjusted well. Deniz, now 21, still loves living in Pembrokeshire, even though he once thought he’d return to London.
