A mother was assaulted by intruders posing as workers while her children watched
Banbury: So, there was this really scary incident where a mum got attacked right in front of her kids. It happened when two guys knocked on her door, pretending to be from some company.
These guys weren’t just there to chat. They had knives and one of them grabbed her by the neck and pulled her inside. Can you imagine how terrifying that must have been for her kids?
They even searched the kids, a teenage girl and a little boy, taking their phones and smashing them. Then, they locked the family in the bathroom while they rummaged through the house. Thankfully, they didn’t take much, and the police showed up pretty quickly.
The mum ended up with a minor neck injury but was treated and released from the hospital. The police are looking into it and want anyone who saw anything to come forward. It’s just so unsettling to think about what happened.
Detective Constable Daniel Smith from the local police said they’re on it and that there’s no wider threat to the community. Still, it’s a reminder to stay alert and be careful.
