Sabrina Lyttle, 47, was discovered in a restaurant toilet two days after her visit
Blackpool: A tragic incident unfolded when a beloved mum, Sabrina Lyttle, was found dead in a restaurant toilet. She had gone in to use the facilities but never came out.
Her mum, Catherine, shared that Sabrina entered the Gurkha Restaurant on November 28. Customers had trouble accessing one of the cubicles, but it wasn’t until November 30 that her body was discovered.
Police arrived at the scene around 1pm on that Saturday. Catherine posted on Facebook, expressing her heartbreak and mentioning that they were still waiting for the post-mortem results to determine the cause of death.
According to Lancashire Constabulary, they were called to report a sudden death. They found a woman in her 40s inside the restaurant. Thankfully, they don’t suspect any foul play, and they’re preparing a report for the coroner.
An inquest into Sabrina’s death is set for April 3 at Blackpool Town Hall. Meanwhile, another investigation is ongoing after a woman’s body was found in a canal in Brighouse, which has also raised concerns.
West Yorkshire Police, along with fire and ambulance services, responded to a 999 call about the canal incident. They pulled a woman in her 70s from the water and are looking for anyone who might have seen anything unusual.
Detective Inspector Jenny Haigh mentioned they’re continuing their investigation and have identified the woman. They’re asking for any witnesses to come forward to help with their inquiries.
